Edit:I had Amazon ship me a replacement set and I put them up as Christmas lights in my window the other night. This set doesn't work either. They still shut off after 8 hours, and then maybe if you're lucky they'll turn back on when you pop the batteries out and put them back in. Going on almost 12 hours now since they last turned on.I took off the plastic piece to inspect the circuit board and was highly disappointed. The sautering is subpar at best. I am I QC technician for a manufacturing company and this kind of work would be instantly rejected and sent back for repair.I'm sending these back and getting a refund, maybe I can find another brand that'll hold up better.-------I bought these for my booth at a convention to help attract customers. I loved how long they were and the different patterns they could do. A week before the event, I tested the battery life on them so I could gauge how many rechargable batteries I needed to bring with me per day.I think they stayed on overnight, and I assumed they had an 8 hour auto-shut off. But then when I went to turn them on again with fresh batteries, they wouldn't turn on. I checked the batteries with another light set and they were fine, so it wasn't a battery problem. I got them to turn back on, so I assumed it was user error. Fast forward to the day before the event where I test them one last time and they don't turn on. I frantically had to buy a replacement set in the hopes it would arrive before I left. A few hours later I got them to turn on again! So I packed them up and used them in my booth the following day.The first day they worked perfectly. No issues. Granted they're sort of dim compared to other LEDs. Imagine my disappointment this morning when I put fresh batteries in my lights and start them up for about 10 minutes and then they die...Now I have a dead set of lights and had to frantically install a backup set that's not nearly as long.Can we also talk about the battery container?? The seal loves to pop out and the latches off. Terribly disappointing ?Perfect length for my two apartment windows. The purple is just like the photos. I don't use the other settings I just keep it on steady mode, but its cool to have the options. I love them they are minimalistic. I used plastic command adhesive clips to my wall to hang these up.Great product with many variations/ settings and worked very well.The battery box was cheaply mad and came broken. The spring popped out every time I had to open the box to turn on or off the lights.Multi functions sizeThese lights are much sturdier than I expected. They have several different modes and they're nicely bright.Battery compartment too big for batteries so they don’t make a connection to keep lights on. Pretty lights but you need both hands to make them work. Such a shame.Wrapped these around my bookshelf. And I love reading beside it and seeing the beautiful purple light up my little corner. So cute
