The lights are extremely lovely. Their bright and colorful and you can control the brightness to set the mood. Work very well with the control.Pros: They have a good variety of light patterns. The colors are vibrant. Strand is long and easy to unravel. Plus it saves the last setting when your timer turns off/on the lights each day.Cons: When you link more than one set, each following set is dimmer than the one before. Furthermore if you want to have 3 sets connected it is impossible to have all 3 on the same light setting. We tried every which way to coordinate them and we could only ever get two of 3 to sync. Also, they will not connect to other brand/variety of lights. Ex: Outdoor tree has red trunk lights (previously bought different brand) and you want these lights for the branch part of your tree these will not plug into the other brand.If you plan on only using one strand then they are great lights. If you want to connect them then do not waste your money.Nice colors, favorite setting was the fade from color to white. Survived a midwest winter hanging on the fence. Lots of compliments.Forgive the dirty house. Closed too late in the season to get it power washed.This string of safe, low-voltage LED lights was ample for our 7' pencil-style tree. The lights were bright but not overwhelming on the brightest setting. They did not ever become warm to the touch, so we felt very safe with them on all the time.Left to its own devices, this string runs through every pattern it has, then starts over. Awful, to say the least. HOWEVER, using the remote we were able to choose a "fade in, fade out" pattern that went from vivid multicolor, to pale multicolor, to incandescent white, and then back again. We did not find an option to "twinkle" or to fade between one or two colors or between a color and white; "blue and white twinkle" or "blue and pink fade in/out" would have been ideal.The most perplexing thing about the string was the "timer" feature. We tried it, and at the appointed time, the string stopped using our "vivid / pale / white" setting all right. But it did not turn off! Instead it went straight to the crazy, every pattern loop described above. I am not sure of the point of that feature.It was well made, and there was ample "lightless" line near the plug end, which I appreciated.Overall, given that many other strings did not have a "connect to another string" feature or had other issues, I feel this is a good value as it had a lot of lights and enough choices that we didn't feel disappointed.Initially, we were very happy with these lights at a good price. So happy, that we bought a second set to hang in the pool area. At Christmas, we set them for color and then after, we set them for a soft white, festive lighting. We were very happy with the settings and the ability to change the colors. Unfortunately, they don't last. After 3 months, about 6 feet of lights went out on the end of one string. I just hid that section, so it was not a big deal. Now, 6 months after the purchase, about a third of the lights are out all along the length of the lights - and for both strings of lights. I would expect for LED lights to last longer than this. Short-term, disposable lights.I bought these because it’s been an ongoing discussion of white or colored lights with my husband and I. These solve the problem we can have both on the same tree. I was hesitant after reading a review that said you couldn’t strand them together and have them work properly. You can, you just have to string them together properly. Take the sensor control off the lights you want to add on, so you only have one sensor control on your 1st light strand. Put them up tonight and very happy with them.I really love these lights! I was worried that one strand wouldn't be enough for my 7.5 foot tree but they were just fine. I usually like just the clean yellow look but the setting that slowly fades through 5 different light colors is really neat and my young son is mesmerized by them! The remote works from about 4-5 feet away, which is just enough to keep me from having to bend down to activate them so that is key.I had read the other reviews of people stating that one order was enough to cover an 8-ft tree. We had enough left over that we could have had a 9-foot tree. What you see in the photo is just the tree, you're not seeing the extra strand going over entertainment center. I like that the lights are versatile and can go from the glowing white to the multicolor and can change speed.
