Umbrella had black grease like marks in the folds and when umbrella was opened up, there was a large tear at the top of the larger part of the umbrella.I love the looks of this umbrella unfortunately the hinge broke when the umbrella was opened. I ordered the umbrella early in the spring season to be ready for the hot days of summer. Big mistake on my part because when I did open and set it up it broke. I was only able to enjoy it for one day. The return or replacement time period was no longer an option. I am now left with a brand new broken umbrella I am unable to use.I love everything else about it so far, EXCEPT it will NOT stay locked the tilt lock fails and it tilts on its own. Super disappointed since I love the lights and the color, but I missed the return window and now I am SOL.Then one day a bolt within the tilt button popped out and prevented putting the umbrella in the down position. WISHED I had taken a pic of the defect! A week later a pop-up storm came through and snapped the entire pole in two. When we got home the umbrella was still "up" through. We had the Allstate insurance which did not cover weather-related.
