My husband bought this to add some accents to our Halloween decorations.Let me just save you some time and frustration: go ahead and unravel the WHOLE thing before you try using them anywhere.My husband bought this to add some accents to our Halloween decorations…But it comes tangled (even if it may not look like it) and then continues to get worse as you go. Since I chose to weave these into my giant spider web, it was hours of really aggravating tangles that forced me to stop, try and manage the mess and keep going.The lights themselves look great! I love the solar power aspect, and the different modes you can use.Overall, very effective for the price.But do what I did with the second strand; unravel the whole thing, and find something that you can wind it onto, and go from there. You’ll thank me later I promise.These strings of lights are nice to look at (we have four strings), charge nicely,but they are hell to untangle and string up. The way they are packaged make itimpossible to just unroll them without a huge tangled mess. Patience, EXTREMEPATIENCE is required, plenty of time to SLOWLY untangle and CAREFULLY placethem in the trees or shrubs or wherever you want them. We live in a windy areaso it remains to be seen how long they will stay in place. But you can easily crimpthe wires a bit around branches to keep them in place. I'd buy them again, butonly if I was having a REALLY GOOD DAY without any other problems. If you arenot having a good day, if you are consumed with work, computer, phone, children,politics, the news, finances, television, radio, wifi, router, printer, Alexa, streaming,or anything else --- forget untangling these !@#$% wires. I don't have an answer,but there MUST be a better way to package these.There is a different string of solar lights, not on a thin wire, that decorates with bees,and the lights are honey colored at night. We prefer these to tell the truth. No stressmounting these in the yard.These lights are very pretty. I like the various mode options and they stay on all through the night unless it has been cloudy for a few days in a row. My only complaint is that get tangled SO EASILY. It took forever to put them in our tree because I had to constantly stop and untangle them no matter how careful I tried to be.Simple and basic. Do like how it turned out on how I've one one already. The only gripe I'd say I would have would be. On how easily it can get tangled when setting them up because of how the come rolled. Othe than that looks good.I LOVE THESE LIGHTS! I ended up tangling them but on the second one i started at the bottom tuck the solar panel in the aground and wove the light ball around my porch and it was fine and tangle free. The lights work amazing they're super bright and fun and stay lit up from sunset almost until sunrise. When I leave for work in the morning they're still bright and dancing!We had a hell of a time getting these untangled in order to use them and one of the strands we didn’t even bother to try to untangle anymore. These are very long and you definitely need multiple people to help you put these up if you are doing anything other than just a straight line that you can do yourself. They were pretty and definitely illuminated the area that I was aiming to illuminate.We were installing the lights and the line of lights got tangled. The moment I removed the twist ties I had a tangle, if any portion of this wire touches an other section of the line it hooks up, every single lite on this line are hooks, they snag everything your pulling twisting going up and down the ladder just to get a foot of line installed, and if you make the mistake of changing direction or crossing the wire over wire instantly tangle....I took 23$ out of pocket and threw it in my trash can....Thats what this product is trash......Good LuckLove these lights. Purchased and put up for Christmas, and decided to leave them up to test through a Canadian winter. They still work!! 8 light settings to choose from so you can change the look if you want. I’ve kept mine on the “always on” setting as I needed two strands and couldn’t sync the other light options on my own once in place (arms aren’t long enough to reach both buttons at once). Only downside is there isn’t a remote, so you have to manually turn off the strand at the solar panel (not a big deal, but can be tough if you have to walk through a few feet of snow).**TIP: if you’re testing the lights, straight out of the box, be sure to cover the solar panel completely, if it’s picking up ANY natural light, the string lights won’t turn on!!! Also, they don’t hold as good of a charge in the winter due to temperature and lack of sunlight so be sure to have the solar panels facing up & on a bit of an angle so snow/ice doesn’t accumulate on the panel. Lastly, be gentle with the strand & don’t pull too tight as this could result in damaging the inner wiring.Overall great product and very happy with my purchase.I ordered 12 sets of these lights to wrap my trees in my front yard. They are very delicate so you have to be very careful with them. They all worked but 2 sets which I will be contacting the seller as I’m very familiar with these lights. They are ok but do not stay on for any longer than about 4 hours when other sets I have stay on all night long.First of all, there was no remote control. I don’t even know why that was an option for the review. As for the lights, oh....my....gawd.... they are the worst I’ve ever dealt with. The uncontrollable wire they are mounted on is impossible to unwind, let alone position in any kind of environment. I got so frustrated with this, in fact, that I swore like a drunk sailor and immediately crumpled the wires up and threw them in the trash. It was like the lights were mounted on a super-long trash bag wire. Absolute garbage, and I now have to apologize to the neighbours for the noise.We have 110v driveway lamp posts and a contractor accidentally cut the wire in several places so until we can get them fixed I wrapped the 110v light bulbs with these "fairy" lights and put the solar panel on top of the lamp post. The driveway is once again lit up, and I might never reconnect the 110v since the sun is doing a great job and saving me money!
