The fan looks good, is quiet, smooth running and easy to hang. But I didn’t want the remote control.I already had smart home wall switches to control the fan speed and light so I didn't install the remote control module and just direct wired the fan. So if anyone is wondering about doing that, it was easy to do and worked fine. The only thing you lose is the ability to reverse the fan rotation because there isn't a physical switch on the fan. But by using Home Assistant software and smart wall switches, I gained the ability to automate when the fan and light come on based on all kinds of things like temperature, time of day, if anyone is home, etc.
