Installation couldn't be easier. You just screw the included bracket into a wall (three screws) and slide the light on it.The direction of the lights and the sensor (included in one of the light panels) is somewhat adjustable. The solar panel is fixed. You must mount the light in a spot exposed to the sun. Other lights provide detachable panels, which may be better if you require more flexibility. But this light works very well if you have a spot in the sun.One downside of the simple mounting method is that there is nothing to prevent someone from just pulling the light off the holder and taking it. You may want to add a screw just above the light so it can't easily be removed without removing the screw first.The included remote is junk and probably best discarded, but I guess helpful if you mount the light in a position that makes it hard to reach the button in the back of the light (but you only need that for the initial setup). I have not used the remote yet.I haven't mounted it yet and still in the testing stages. Seems to work just fine including the remote.They work but with minimum lighting don’t expect much out of them but they work for my needThey are awesome very bright love themLike the set but only problem is it has 3 settings And it forgets which one it’s on so you have to keep setting it every day on that mode , I had it on the stay on all night mode stays dimmer but good enough , only problem each night I have to press the the 3rd function all over again , so nice it’s on motion setting seems to stay on that onethe light could have been better. I have no complaints about the restI just installed them yesterday evening didn't expect them to work right away because they didn't have a chance to fully charge but to my surprised I went outside last night and they came on. I set them to mode 3 and they worked all night. Not to mention they are very bright and covers a large area. Soooooooo this is an edit from the original post it's been less than a month having alot of rain however one of my lights have taken in water so not as resistant as described, but its still working so I had to take away a star.Help me keep safeI light arrives fully discharged and needs 8 hours of bright sunshine to charge it. This makes it difficult to check that it works. It was still dead for me after charging for 3 days in daylight. That might explain the returns. You press a button to set the mode but there is nothing to tell you what mode you set. Luckily I had a sunny day and managed to get it into the correct mode. Once set up it works fine. It detects anyone coming near it and has a bright light. The AAA efficiency rating should mean the charge will last long time. I have yet to test it during darker winter months.For ease of fitting, charging and using. It gets a 5, but I am a little disappointed with the intensity of the light. The spread is good and without dark spots but I was expecting more. To give you an idea, my £5 keyring torch is noticeably brighter on a wall at 10 feet, with 1 led, never mind 318. It's more "mood" lighting than "security" lighting, even on the highest brightness setting, if you get my meaning. Sometimes more, is not better...or so I tell my wife.Ordered 12 ( two sets of these )The ones in direct sun all day stay illuminated for arround 6 hours on setting 1.The 6 that are exposed to sunlight all day but only directly for 3 hours stay illuminated for 2 hours on setting 1 .I have other similar LED solar lights that charge just fine and maintain quoted duration on their setting 1 just from indirect sun exposure.These lights would be perfect if you live in new mexico and have them facing the sun all day ...but for a typical UK winter I'm expecting them to be highly disappointing given there weak performance in summer months.Such a shame as i like the design and colour spectrum emitted is perfectThis kit doesn’t have a light sensor on the light end . Instead, it uses the current that provided by the polar panel to determine whether the environment is dark or not. In my application, I uses it as a roof light for a garden shed. That’s to say, the panel is been placed outside the shed. During daytime, the environment is light but the shed inside is dark, the light won’t turn on, which is annoying. I ended up installing a separate switch for the light to make the light think the environment is dark.Excellent value compared to the Facebook ad that’s been popping up offering two for £20.You get more screws then needed and the light is very bright even on dim mode
