I really like these for camping. I did purchase the plastic bulbs because well camping SH. There was 2 bulbs broken when I received these but the seller did replace those in a very timely mannerWe purchased our first set of lights last year. They were great! We wanted to light up more of the back. I found a “good deal” on solar string lights at a big box store. Sadly they didn’t perform well at all. Returned those and went back to the electric. These connected right to the existing string of lights and we are very pleased.I installed this around the top of my pool cage and connected it to the WIFI dimmer to connect to Google Home. It looks great and works very well. I wish it was a little bet brighter however it is good enough to light up the pool area and create a very nice atmosphere. The dimmer works great.I chose these based on positive reviews, dimmable bulbs, and fact that the bulbs were glass which I thought was what I wanted so that they didn't get that frosted-over look that plastic gets and could be cleaned easier. That's true in theory, but in practice the glass gets dirty outside so it's probably a push on that side, but bigger issue is that glass can break in your yard (say if your kid throws a ball at it or if lightning strikes it - both happened to me), and that glass can end up all over the place in the yard with no real way to sweep it up like you could if it broke indoors. I mentioned the lightning strike - it hit the cord and ruined one of the strands, the others had badly blown fuses and most bulbs fried. The fuses are very expensive (hence knocking off one star) but I found a replacement that worked well for me via a competitor's website. Just search for Unique Bargains 10 x Glass Cartridge Slow Blow Axial Fuse 3.6x10mm 250V 6.3A. When they arrive, you'll need to cut off the lead wires and sand down the nubs so they fit in the stand, but they were literally 5x cheaper than the ceramic ones on amazon. Also note that this is 6.3A not 8 so you theoretically can link fewer of these together, but at 2W per bulb, I'm guessing it's not really an issue in practice. When I replaced the broken bulbs, I went with plastic.Have these draped from the inside of my gazebo over the hot tub. Works great.Likes- LED, low power use, plenty bright but not too bright. We've replaced area lighting with the string light and it works great. Brigth enough you can read from it. I would suggest a dimmer / wifi controller to go with it. A lower output may be nice for ambience.The only issue we have had was squirrel attack. But that was the squirrels fault! LOL :-)Bright, high quality wire, and nice looking bulbs. A limitation us that connecting two hanging wires is very difficult; the connection point has no latch or loop hole to prevent being unplugged by the hanging tension. Had to design a parallel rope-tie system, which does not look greatLook great and well made. Only one burned out bulb but it came with 2 spares. My only question is will they work with a dimmer switch because they are a bit bright for our location. Not a criticism though. Just a question. Great product and great serviceThe lights are actually stunning. The cords are quite sturdy and long, however bulbs are a little further apart than I anticipated but are very bright. Happy with purchase!These lights are beautiful. Strung over my deck and they light up the whole thing nicely. Warm but bright light! Good quality!!!!!
